Rock People’s Principal Consultant, Alex Beutler, is a specialist mining recruiter with over 6 years consulting experience in professional technical & executive mining recruitment across Australasia.
Alex specializes in geology, mining engineering, technical services & associated executive appointments across Australia and internationally for expatriate assignments. Destinations for expat mining careers have included China, Thailand, PNG, Laos, Vietnam, Indonesia, Ghana, Senegal, Botswana, Brazil, New Caledonia and many more.
He commenced his career in Sydney with an international recruitment firm in 2005, where he was responsible for professional hardrock appointments across NSW, Victoria & Tasmania. Alex has successfully established and developed two professional & executive mining recruitment agencies, one in 2006 for CDI AndersElite (NYSE: CDI) and later in 2008 for Talent2 (ASX: TWO).
Alex’s typical assignments include exploration geology, mine geology, mining engineering, geotechnical engineering, mine management, project development and associated executive appointments.
In 2011, Alex launched Rock People, a specialist recruitment company focused on professional technical and executive mining careers and energy recruitment globally. He leverages years of experience, extensive worldwide networks and his vast industry knowledge to seamlessly deliver fast and effective recruitment solutions to mining and exploration companies big and small.
Alex holds a BBA (Hons) and BA (Psych) from Macquarie University. He is a member of the AusIMM and GSA.
